简介：

In addition to my 190 hours of TEFL training, I have taken linguistics and teaching classes at the University of Lethbridge, where I monitored and taught students aged five and six. I have acted as a substitute teacher in a Canadian elementary and high school where I taught students aged six to eighteen. More importantly, I have two years of teaching intermediate and upper intermediate grammar and conversational English to students aged 12-adult in Vientiane, Laos. There I also worked with staff to create a one-week English summer camp for children aged 4-12. I currently work with children aged 3-16 at the local Kumon centre teaching reading and math as I take a one to two year break from my University studies.

When I was a teenager I lived in Dalian for eight months. There I formed the belief that when millions of people are playing me the compliment of learning my language, I should repay the compliment by learning the local language of where I live. Thus if I am hired to teach at your school, in addition to dedicating time creating fun and interactive lessons for my students, I will also dedicate time to learning the language spoken by the majority of my students. Obviously, in the classroom I will follow the language policies of the school, however, outside the class I will try to also learn as much of the local culture and language as possible.
