简介:

My name is Ericka Hunter, I am 42and I am a graduate of Western Michigan University with a Bachelor Degree in Social Work and Psychology. I also have an English teaching certificate from Michigan, State, USA to teach English and Psychology at the secondary level.

As a dedicated educator, I stimulate curiosity and make learning both fun and approachable. With a great ability to make mundane concepts rewarding for students, I would like to offer my services for a homeroom grade teacher at your educational institution. Once you have skimmed through my resume, you will discover that I am capable of implementing unique teaching techniques that successfully address individualized learning variables.

I have been a guidance counselor and teacher for over a period of eight years, which includes 5 years international teaching experience, which spans from the US, West Africa and Kuwait. I am also a certified TEFL/TESOL foreign language English teacher. I have a vast knowledge and direct hands-on experience when it comes to solving problems and resolving issues and interacting with people on all different levels.
I have a firm belief that children need to be transformed as the future of our world, I have spent the last five years providing dedicated academic, social and emotional instruction to my students and also psychological and pastoral care.

I believe in involving children, as primary stakeholders and instigators, in decisions about their learning. I document children’s learning in order to make their thinking visible for themselves and for others and welcome parents as partners in their children’s learning journeys. Over the last five years, I have been exploring ways of using technology to support children’s “hundred languages” of expression.
I was also a part of a small group working with the IBPYP curriculum development team in the school reviewing the curriculum framework for 5-7 year olds in the PYP.
